New to Sol Camino Journeys? Read these five pieces in order and you will have a working Iberian itinerary before you open a booking tab.

These pages are meant to be read in sequence rather than picked at random. The first gives you the shape of a fortnight across two countries, the next two fill that shape with cities and hours, and the last two cover the meals and the transport rules that decide whether the plan holds together once you are on the ground.

  1. Two Weeks in Spain and Portugal - the fourteen night skeleton, every leg with its real duration and what to book first.
  2. Beyond Seville: Cordoba, Granada and Cadiz - a week in the south with the Alhambra ticket rule and the buses that connect the three cities.
  3. Lisbon in Three Days - a walking order that climbs each hill once, plus meal hours and tram timings.
  4. A San Sebastian Pintxos Crawl in Twelve Stops - what to order at each counter, how much it costs and when to start.
  5. Twelve Rules for Travelling Iberia by Train and Bus - booking horizons, station names and the border reality most itineraries ignore.

How to use the rest of the site

The Douro valley day trip and the Cadiz and white villages loop are the two pieces to add once your dates are fixed, because both depend on having a car or an early train. The Porto morning markets and the Green Spain seafood route are for the days when the plan can be loose and the meal is the point.

If you have ten days rather than fourteen, start with the two week route and cut Barcelona. If you have three weeks, keep the skeleton and add a night in Porto and a night in Ronda, which is where the pacing of this itinerary usually wants to slow down.
